Information for advertisers

Is your target audience NHS staff?

NHSforum.co.uk is purely for NHS staff of all types, levels & specialties. You can only contribute to NHSforum.co.uk if you have an .nhs.uk email address, so you know you're reaching the right audience. Advertising on NHSforum.co.uk is cost effective, modern and easy.

What advertising options do I have?

You have two main options:

  • Banner-type adverts on the right-hand side of each page
  • Newsletter features or adverts (limited)

You can advertise in a section or sections likely to be seen by almost any type of staff e.g. homepage or help zone, or target your advertising more specifically e.g. consultants or paediatrics. Obviously costs very according to how much coverage you would like to acquire.

Banner-type adverts

We can place banners of vary sizes on the right-hand side of each page or multiple pages. Our banner width is 225 pixels but they can be of almost any length. This gives the advertiser quite some considerable size to work with.

Considerations for banner advertising on NHSforum.co.uk

  • advert size
  • do you want multiple 'screens' i.e. an advert that rotates through its content?
  • what's your target audience?
  • what do you want your advert to link to?

We can design your advert for you, including pages that it links to, so that you can create say a programme that has a number of small banners (acting as teasers) leading to a whole page advert either on NHSforum.co.uk or your own site. This approach works well for adverts with more complex requirements e.g. pharmaceuticals, where there are regulatory requirements.

To discuss your advert requirements email advertising@nhsforum.co.uk including your name, position, organisation and contact numbers.

Newsletter advertising

We do devote some limited space within our newsletter to advertising. This can either be banner-type adverts or text adverts. In either case, they can link directly to your site or to a larger advert on ours. Costs are very much dependent on how many people you wish to reach, which is equally dependent on your targeting e.g. just consultants or just paediatric staff.

To discuss your advert requirements email advertising@nhsforum.co.uk including your name, position, organisation and contact numbers.

Can I use your contact list?

We do not sell contacts or allow contact details to be used for marketing purposes. We have a special relationship with our audience and we will not do anything that is likely to turn them off from using NHSforum.co.uk.

Targeting options?

Advertising can be targeted at specific groups to create more specificity. Currently the following groups can be targeted:

  • Major job type - e.g. doctor, nurse, managers, allied professionals etc
  • Specialties or functions - e.g. cardiology, paediatrics, finance etc
  • Grades - e.g. consultants, SpRs
